Vignobles Savigneux
The producer
Vignobles Savigneux is a family-owned Bordeaux producer managing 36 hectares of vineyards across three properties on the Left Bank of the Garonne River. The estate is led by Stéphane Savigneux alongside his son, Charles. Stéphane and his wife Brigitte began replanting the family's historical vineyards at Château d'Eyran and Château Haut-L'Artigue in Saint-Médard-d'Eyrans in 1984, later expanding by acquiring Château Bastian in Auros. The vineyards are cultivated under High Environmental Value (HVE 3) certification, prioritizing sustainability and precision viticulture across their gravel, clay, and limestone terroirs.
Their production is split across two main Bordeaux appellations. In the prestigious Pessac-Léognan appellation, they craft elegant, structured red wines (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot) and aromatic dry whites (Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon) under the Château d'Eyran and Château Haut-L'Artigue labels. Further south, Château Bastian yields approachable regional Bordeaux wines focused on fruit purity and balance. Operations and wine tourism are centered at the modern Chai du Château d'Eyran, where traditional winemaking techniques and oak-barrel aging combine to produce polished, terroir-driven wines.
