Cascina San Michele
The Producer
Marco Minnucci, a passionate winemaker originally drawn to Piedmont's rich viticultural heritage, began his career in Costigliole d'Asti in 2010 after relocating there in 2008 to immerse himself in producing wines from indigenous grape varieties. In 2015, he co-founded Cascina San Michele, a young organic winery in the Langhe valley, partnering with like-minded individuals to craft unfiltered, natural wines that emphasize authenticity and minimal intervention. Specializing in varieties such as Barbera, Dolcetto, and Brachetto, the estate produces vibrant, fruit-forward expressions, including the Privemi Barbera d'Asti DOCG, which features notes of strawberry, cherry, earth, and dried fruits, reflecting the region's terroir while prioritizing sustainability and organic practices.
