Accadia
The Producer
In the early eighties, Angelo and Maria Accadia moved from Milan to the Marche region, in the oldest area of Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi production. Angelo Accadia is recognized as one of the most expert producers of Verdicchio. He handles every step of production, studying the terroir, managing yield, and testing the best winemaking processes for his grapes. Today, Angelo is supported by his daughter, Evelyn.
The Estate’s vineyards cover about 9 hectares, with altitudes ranging between 320 to 370m above sea level. Vineyards are influenced by the fresh mountain air and the salty winds from the Adriatic Sea. Soils are mainly limestone, passing from sandstone to clay, with compositions differing from area to area. The parcels differ in altitude, slope, soil, sun exposure, and wind exposure.
Accadia adopts a natural farming approach; all the vines are cultivated using organic methods. Vineyards are managed with non-invasive treatments that allow native plants to grow and insects and animals to live in their natural environments.
