I’m Giacomo DiLisi, Owner and Founder of DiLisi Imports.

Born and raised in South Jersey, I grew up immersed in the rich Sicilian culture and traditions passed down from my family’s hometown in Italy—where my parents were born and much of our extended family still lives. From a young age, working in restaurants and pizzerias instilled in me a strong work ethic and a foundational understanding of business.

Through travel and dedicated study, I discovered my true passion: wine and the stories behind every bottle. My journey began with studies in Florence, Italy, followed by returning to the United States to earn my Bachelor’s degree in International Business from Saint Joseph's University, with minors in Italian and Economics. I also completed the rigorous WSET Diploma program to build deep expertise in wine.

In 2012, I entered the industry as a sales representative and spent years with the same company, gaining hands-on experience in every aspect of the wine business—from sourcing and relationships with producers to sales, distribution, and market dynamics.

The arrival of COVID-19 in 2020 sparked the realization that it was time to pursue my dream. With the unwavering support of my wife and family, I founded DiLisi Imports to curate a portfolio of exceptional, undiscovered producers. My mission is simple yet heartfelt: to spotlight small, family-run wineries that work with honesty and integrity in both the vineyard and the cellar—allowing the terroir, grapes, and traditions to speak for themselves.

We seek out pure, authentic wines that express their place and varietal with minimal intervention—true reflections of their land and heritage.

Our first sales launched in March 2023, and since then, DiLisi Imports has grown steadily. While rooted in Italy—especially the dynamic regions of Sicily and beyond—our carefully selected portfolio now includes standout family producers from France, Austria, New Zealand, and Spain.As the Sicilian proverb says: “Bonu vinu fa bonu sangu” (“Good wine makes good blood”). Every bottle we import carries a genuine story of family, place, and passion. We’re proud to share these honest, terroir-driven wines with enthusiasts across the United States.
