Château Saint Cyrgues
The Producer
Located in the heart of the Costières de Nîmes, at the crossroads of Languedoc and the Rhône Valley, Château Saint Cyrgues embodies the alliance between family history and new energy. From a line of six generations of winemakers, Loïc Ferraud perpetuates a savoir-faire passed down from father to son: his father and grandfather were winegrowers, with the latter also a wine broker, while his great-grandfather practiced the noble craft of cooperage. It was therefore quite natural that he took over the estate in 2014, driven by the desire to implement a modern vision that respects the land.
Today, Château Saint Cyrgues flourishes on a sun-drenched terroir caressed by the mistral wind, cultivated entirely organically since 2014. Twelve red and ten white grape varieties grow side by side, offering a palette of rare diversity that reflects the richness of this soil of rolled pebbles, typical of the Costières region. Each plot is meticulously worked to express the purity of the fruit and the signature of the terroir.
Always in search of innovation, the estate also strives to create original vintages: an orange wine with a beautiful aromatic freshness, but also a wine aged under the sea, submerged at a depth of 60 meters, where the temperature, pressure, and constant currents offer aging conditions unique in the world.
Driven by a young and passionate team, the estate blends tradition and innovation, constantly striving to extract the very best from each harvest. Château Saint Cyrgues wines are distinguished by their balance, their lusciousness, and their authenticity – a true reflection of the generosity of the South and the family spirit that has animated the estate for over a century.
